It's what I say repeatedly: Math is reality.

Also, our purpose is to be creative. It doesn't matter what we do for a living, our skills or whatever. And it doesn't matter if no one else appreciates what we create.

And music too. Another expression of proportional relationships that enable existence. It's a shame math isn't taught within this broader context. Or at least wasn't when I was in school.

It's kind of interesting that music and math occupy the same space in my brain. I don't know another way to say it.

Also, don't worry about teaching math within a broader context. We're lucky if the students get out of school with any knowledge of math at all.
